That settles it. Why should thr average Nigerian be the one to bear the brunt ? The FG wants Nigerians to make sacrifices but he's not ready to. At least this comment did not come from a Nigerian official.

That is even commendable, considering the fact that 2.5% of the entire world is Nigerian, and 1 in every 4.5 Sub Saharan African is Nigerian.

I am sure there are far more Nigerian professionals in Europe than 8,700 people, contributing meaningfully to the European economy and pool of talents... Hundreds of Nigerian doctors and Engineers in the UK come to mind.....

Indeed... there are now hundreds of thousands, if not millions Nigerians in Europe... and Europe desperately needs to free some place to accommodate the millions of migrants that are now knocking on its doors. Nothing really unexpected.

My frd is 43yrs old and in her second year nursing degree in the UK.

She and her family gets looked after while she is studying.

Don't expect to reap the reward if u didn't sow the seed.

I dont know about othet European countries, but Nurses are now been retained in the UK after their studies, you just have to pass a few exams, am not in that line of work, but I know a few members in my church who did a series of exams and are now waiting to be registered..

The government changed the law regarding nurses from non EU countries due to shortage and inability to fill vacancies with EU nurses..

Why won't they stay back when a Nurse working through an agency can make nothing less than £27 an hour, the highly skilled specialist can collect up to £35/40HR as agency staff.. see pictures below..

Yeah, That's so so true. I once read that only 42% of Nigerian trained doctors practice in Nigeria while 29% practice in USA, 9% in Canada, 14% in UK and the remaining 6% practice in other countries around the world. I Think that's too bad !!
