Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by naijachix(m): 11:08am On Jul 06, 2009
after going through the president umar musa Yaradua's achievements, so to say, i began to wonder whether the people that sold the idea of the vision 20 20 20, were daydreaming or something. it is just obvious that it was not his original idea, or can someone please explain the sudden lose of directions.

i might be wrong, so i stand to be corrected!

Highly unlikey - before the year 2000 the slogan was was poverty eradication and education for all b4 yr 2000 . But as Nigerians with memory issues we forget and move on quickly.

If they want they can employ me to help them with the naming which i'm very good at. I wonder why yradua decided to stick with 7 point agenda, why not 8 or 20 or even 1 point agenda. I guess 7 just sounds right.

It,z a complete Myth not a day dream, cause day dream, the person may suddenly wake up, but Myth is mistery, mistery how all our oil money is been  wasted by greedy leaders, mistery how all of them got thesame embezzelvirus  in there brains. Mistery how they manage to avoid the so called EFCC.Make it 50 50  plus  1 point it can never work, aspect we do away with all this old cargo politicans. quote me.

we started with 2010, now it's 2020, eleven years from now. Without sounding like a pessimist(also from past experiance), i think it's all talk. By then 'we'll be talking of vision 2050. How old would I be then? say 70, and i'll still be complaining about unstable power supply, bad roads, corruption etc? give me a break!
Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by breathless(m): 3:46pm On Jul 06, 2009
That's what i call a visionless vision by a blind man. Most northerners suffer from one form of blindness or the other. so do not expect anything better from the that frail looking sick malam in aso rock. its all propaganda
Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by breathless(m): 3:50pm On Jul 06, 2009
That's why i refuse to listen to those demons called politicians who go about promising "good roads, clean water, electricity power, housing, haelthcare etc" in this 21st century. Ahh, I refuse to be deceived angry

r u joking? they first started with vision 2000, then vision2010 & now 2020!!! shocked
these highway robbers won't let go until naija is bled dry & worse than somalia! this govt lacks drive, dept, charisma, vision & initiative.   they themselves know they can't do it or get us there cos of lack of wherewithal.

summary is that it's a daydream!!! embarassed most smaller African countries can do things that we can only dream of, electricity, roads, rail, even water! when last did anyone turn on their taps, place their tumblers to fetch & drink directly!! it's nearly impossible because of fear of the unknown,

so sad that we have derailed this far from the expectations @ independence

in the mid 90s it was Vision 2000. then the new millennium fever was catching, but the day/year came and went and nothing happened , they quickly changed to vision 2010, ha hah ha , it clear now they are just fumbling so knowing that most nigerians have such a short memory, the rebranders have now put a new song in the mouth of their propaganda network - vision 2020.

good a thing Jesus has not revealed the day of His return
they should just use that date or call it
Vision- Judgement Day!
Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by adybabs: 4:44pm On Jul 06, 2009
i honestly dont bother when i hear vision this, vision that. with a single step or direction of the government, you would obviously know the vision. nothing has really worked since the inception of this governemnt.

we need somebody like FASHOLA OF LAGOS to give us the first step.
Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by kshow1(m): 5:27pm On Jul 06, 2009
Have you guys forgetten so soon about
Housing for all by year 2000
water for all by year 2000
Food for all by year 2000
.

Then came Vision 2010.

Now its Vision 2020

Dream on,

Every Government especially the DO NOTHING GOVERNMENT OF
YAR A'CLUELESS usually have a signature issues/agenda they will like to pursue.

Number without times they come up with slogan and it is like an anthem or church/mosque songs you have to learn and sing religiously. Most of the time it doesn't mean too much, it is only meant for the ordinary person to feel good.

7 POINTLESS AGENDA, VISIONLESS 2020, REBRANDING 2011 and others are just songs for the uninitited to sing until they are blue in the eyes and another government comes to start another song. so sing along for as long as YAR A'LIAR is in office, 7 pointless agenda please.

What's the difference between myth and daydream?
They both lack one important substance; REALITY. undecided
Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by Chiddysville(m): 6:27pm On Jul 06, 2009
Let them keep on dreaming. These people need to be sent on a journey of no return. Imagine how many lives that have been lost due to failed promises and corruption. Somebody must pay with his blood. Watch out and that is very soon

Re: Vision 20 20 20: A Myth Or A Daydream? by WackyJ1(m): 9:06pm On Jul 06, 2009
Sometimes i wonder who is the prophet that gives all this visions. They are similar to the one about jesus christ, in that they came thousands of years after they prophesied it but the difference is that jesus actually came and there was salvation. As for Nigeria the visions are never coming to pass and there is no salvation.
