Since the investigation into the $2.1billion arms deal blew open, big shots in the Goodluck Jonathan-led administration are being interrogated almost on a daily basis. The arrowhead of this scandal is the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.) who has been in detention since December 2015. Though the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has said Goodluck Jonathan can only be summoned on President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, there are indications that with the recent arrest of the former president’s ex-aides, he(Jonathan) may be invited by the anti-graft agency. It is worthy of note that a lot of Nigerians are of the view that only God can save Goodluck Jonathan from being prosecuted! In no particular order, Dawn-To-Dusk News who can directly or indirectly influence the decision of EFCC on Goodluck Jonathan.

1. President Muhammadu Buhari

2. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo(retd.) - Former Head of State/President

3. Gen. Ibrahim Babangida(retd.) - Former Head of State

4. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma(retd.) - Former Minister of Defence

5. Mr. Ahmed Joda - 86-year-old Super Permanent Secretary in the 1960s

6. Prof. Tam David-West - Former Minister of Petroleum

7. HRH Alhaji Umar Faruk - Emir of Daura {Buhari's hometown in Katsina State}

8. Chief Audu Ogbeh - Minister of Agriculture; Former PDP national chairman

9. Justice Umar Abdullahi - Former President of the Court of Appeal; President Buhari's classmate/close friend

10. His Eminence Sa'ad Abubakar III - Sultan of Sokoto; Spiritual Leader of Muslims in Nigeria

11. Prof. Itse Sagay - Chairman, Presidential Anti-corruption Advisory Committee

Save Jonathan or save Nigeria?

Have you ever considered why the security agencies would not invite GEJ? At least to make statements on his role? In reality, if Buhari's claim of the armsgate or the Dasukigate is anything to go by, GEJ ought to have been interrogated long before now and would have been held as the principal suspect and or witness since Dasuki was simply taking instructions from him.

Those men, if the have interest fr Nigeria, they should gear up the effort t save this sinking boat called Nigeria.

Ok. How can they do that? From that list, I see only 1,2 and 4 as the main arrow heads that can save former clueless one. 3 and 5 may give a try and be heard but the rest? Capital NO!

Save him from what exactly? Will they contribute to pay back the money GEJ stole? Did GEJ offend them or Nigerians as a whole by leading us into this pit, i laugh. Some of the listed men up there will still be probed because they are part of the problem we are facing...

Today the dollar exchanges at #318 for the Naira,
Businesses are finding it more expensive and difficult to continue their business in the country, others closing down, disengaging or right sizing their staff and all a president can do is dwell on phanthom anti corruption jamboree, junketing from one country to another.

Instead of maning up and taking responsibility for a mandate he so asked for(...and who says we can't move forward as a country even with the supposed anti corruption campaign on going?).

Jonathan needs no saving bros, ask your President to rescue and save his economy first!

Wait a minute! What about the “GEJ is our hero crew” and the “GEJ 2019 crew” and the “GEJ conceded defeat because his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian crew” grin

These groups or crews should also be able to save Ebele Jonathan since according to them GEJ is their only infallible messiah who holds the key to the Nigeria's economic stability & greatness grin

Now, let me make myself clear; GEJ must be tried in the law courts for his recklessness, misappropriation of funds & corrupt practices and if found guilty, must be sentenced to atleast 72Years in jail with hard labour.

But If Buhari decides, out of sentiments to sweep GEJ's corrupt practices under the carpet, then he will realise the reason Y fire & gunpowder do not sleep together.

Fantasy of a naïve blogger.

Not that easy. Buhari no dey look face o.

If it was that easy Sultan and co would have "saved" Dasuki, a Sokoto prince.

The only thing that can save and is saving GEJ is the respect PMB has for him as a former president.
