Your patriotic sense is very low. Are you happy because naira is getting worse or you are happy to see Buhari government as a failure?
You people are so comfortable with buying and selling.
Production has become a taboos. Even, the food we are eating is dwindling by local production.
Our farmers are aging , no younger generation of todays is ready to take up their jobs either mechanically or manually.
Rice, beans, chicken and many others food are 70% imported.
In another ten years time, yam and some locally processed food will not be available locally again.
All these nonsense about devaluation of naira will continue until we look inward to start productive economy rather than every body been an importer.
sorry my bro, d workings of international Finance has eluded u, you and your president Buhari are illiterates in dis context. What Utomi and a few concerned Nigerians stand for is that only devaluation will FORCE Nigerians to real production as u av mentioned above. If u don't understand how it works, call an economics teacher or see me after class.

Thank you sir. Any how you want to see it, let us go back to productive economy and do away with this import depending nonsense.
But devaluation of naira is not what will propelled the people to produce goods and services that are needed locally.

it is my bro. demand is a function of price. d higher d price d lower d demand, as we were taught in secondary education. if naira is devalued, the price of imported goods will be high. take for example d price of rice might be as high as 30,000 per bag, you as a rational consumer will want to buy the rice produced locally which might be cheaper compared to rice imported. if importers see dey are no longer patronize, they will stop exporting our jobs. this is a wide topic, many don't understand.08132366020 for detail explaination.

Good explanation my teacher. Still, devaluation of our currency is not a catalyst to being productive.
It will only make dollars go higher than expected. The system will correct itself as we are going without officially devaluing naira further down.

Pat, Buhari has no knowledge of economy. It is unfortunate will av an illiterate president, more unfortunate he does not take advice. Leave him, he has refused to devalue d naira, bt naira has bn devalueing itself.
So, why do you and myopic people like you have a problem since naira has devalued itself? Why the need to devalue it officially again since that has already happened?

The Nigeria Chairman of political economy,
Pat Utomi , has faulted The Nigeria
President Muhammadu Buhari for insisting
that he would not approve the further
devaluation of the naira which has been
tremendous over the country Nigeria
Honorable Pat Utomi told journalists during
the inaugural conference of the Ibadan
School of Government and Public Policy
( ISGPP ) Which Was held in Ibadan, Oyo
State ( Nigeria ) recently,
Utomi said that the Nigeria President {
Muhammad Buhari } has no knowledge or

idea of the economy and should allow those
who know better than him should speak on
the matter.
He said: “President Buhari who was in Kenya
recently said he would not devalue the
Naira. The main fact is that someone like
him should not be talking about such things
that ain’t sound good. Whatever his
sentiments are, he should keep quiet so that
people who know about these things, should
be allowed to talk about them better. He has
created a major problem for the economy by
that single statement of him.”
