Momodu Flays Buhari Govt’s Fixation with Jonathan
President Muhammad Buhari has been urged to build upon the concrete legacies of the immediate past administration led by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan instead of the endless blame-game and name-calling currently ravaging the nation.
Ovation publisher and columnist, Mr. Dele Momodu, made this statement in his article in his column, Pendulum, published in THISDAY Newspapers of this Saturday, titled: “End the blame game now.”
According to him, "Buhari government is already getting paranoid and almost as neurotic as the Jonathan regime. Their reaction to every criticism suggests an unnecessary agitation. They are blaming real and imaginary enemies for the gale of attacks on the economic policies of the current government. I find this very reprehensible."
He added: "If truth must be told, our economic team is floundering at the moment. They appear rudderless and totally confused. Did they expect anyone to praise them when the Naira is spinning and nose-diving at a dizzying pace like a rollercoaster gone berserk?
"Nigerians sent President Goodluck Jonathan packing because they believed he was incompetent and the APC and its candidate (Buhari) assured they had the solutions to the problems and the magic wand to the economic and spiritual hopelessness of the time. No one should blame them if they are grumbling that this was not the change they voted for.”

History mostly repeats itself because humanity has a very short memory of the things which happened in time past.

At the height of APCs campaign of calumny and propaganda, of which Dele was a staunch front man- for the supposed messiah,on Twitter, I drew Dele's attention to Bubu's antecedents, his first time in office. His undemocratic tendencies and maybe even the fact that he may not be suited for the job given a host of factors. Dele curtly replied " It doesn't matter"


I guess it actually does matter.

Nigerians, especially our thought leaders have all exposed their unsuitability to lead public opinion, because of their failure to read the handwriting on the wall. The obvious signs of things which we are experiencing now.
