IF you have any sense at all you should be annoyed that your governors are spending:

- allocation collected from Abuja on your behalf.
- taxes, levies etc collected from you.
- loans that you and your unborn generation will repay

Why are you not annoyed

@OP. What you posted is not the Lagos State allocation but allocations to each local government in Lagos State. There is a world of difference.

Federation account funds are shared by the 3 tiers of government - federal, states + FCT, local governments and specials funds like ecological.

Re: Federal Allocation For Lagos For January 2016 by 36STATES: 1:26pm On Feb 25, 2016
Lagos state doesn't deserve any FGN allocation because FGN has built the state as federal capital territory since 1919. FGN built Ikoyi, VI, Ikeja, Obalande, 95% of roads, 95% bridges, two airports, three seaports, headquarters of every ministry, headquarters of every govt agency, many housing estate, many army barracks, many police institutes etc. This fact is reflected on the IGR of the state. What Lagos people should do is to keep Tinubu and his gang away from stealing the tax collected from the people, and the state will be fine.

Re: Federal Allocation For Lagos For January 2016 by Itsekiriman101: 2:50pm On Feb 25, 2016
Some commenters on this forum amaze me. The total allocation is just 5.4 billion Naira to cater for a population of about 20 million people and you say that is too much? The amount for each Lagosian is just N270 !!!!. Please criticise with sense.

So what? When does 1.9Billion become a big allocation for Lagos. That amount wont even pay the work force of the state.
So what exactly are you saying? Multiply by 12 and you get roughly 23Billion is that the budget of the state? The states revenue
is the only reason they are not crying like other states.

Is too small for a mega city like lagos. is not up to 2 billion naira. my state kwara got 1.2 billion and nothing to show for it even street light. No salary for teachers.

Lagos Budget is above N500 Billion.

At this total monthly rate of N5.4 billion per month, Lagos will get a mere N65 billion from the federal purse.!

remaining is expected to come from IGR more than N250 Billion and loan will take care of the rest for now until price of crude improves and federal allocation goes back to above N10 billion per month.

This amount of N5.4 billion per month for Lagos a mega city of more than 15 million people is grossly too low.!
