Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, has sparked
social media attacks from Nigerians
following the manner he shook hands with
the Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
The Senator representing Uyo senatorial
district in the red chamber was recently
arrested by the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC) over his alleged
involvement in controversial oil deals carried
out by a renowned oil magnet, Jide
Omokere.

Senator Albert is expected back at the anti-
graft office this week for further questioning
on the matter. His extreme loyalty to Saraki,
who has attained the peak of his political
career, might not be unconnected with
political backing as well as to tap from the
sphere of influence Saraki wields.
The embattled Senator was pictured shaking
the Senate president in a manner some
Nigerians perceived as master and boy
relationship though some are also of the
opinion that Albert was just been respectful
and unintentionally bringing it to the fore.
