EMEKA1MILLION: Make sure you package all the food in small plastic containers according to preferred potions/rations. So that you don't need to defrost the whole food each time you want to eat, because continuous defrosting and frosting diminishes the nutrient values drastically. 1 Like |

[quote author=EMEKA1MILLION post=43427764]Every new month this is what I do. Go to market and get the things for the desired soup for the month myself since am still a bachelor and living alone. The soup is expected to last for the month unless my friends come around. This month of March I chose egusi, ogbono, okra and stew. The egusi ingredients are Egusi 2 cups Achi (to make the soup thick) Cameroon pepper (dunno why it's called that tho) Vegetable Dry fish Stock fish Palm oil Goat and cow beef mixed Fresh fish. Etc.... Ogbono soup ingredients is same as above excluding the Achi. The okra soup is made specially for me cos I love periwinkle but sadly most of my guys don't so just in case they come around, they'll see something to eat. The soup has so much periwinkle. Beef (chopped the beef to pieces) Dry fish Kpomo Etc... Stew easy na so no need listing out the ingredients. Anyway it took me 3hours to cook all. Budget for everything is 10,500 naira. Since I stay in Port Harcourt, things are pretty expensive here so I spent most of my day in the market bargaining price Bro u tried oooooo.......... If i Sabi cook like dis.. Chaiiiiii my chicks wey dey always do yanga go suffer |

Nice one. Cooking is one thing I love doing. Trust women, they will surely capitalize on that to always pass you that responsibility as it was in my case. She was forced to do that moderately when my family came visiting us and I went into the kitchen as she would always prefer when we are both at home. But that day, she started begging to cook oh. That was when we sighed MOU. laugh! It takes understand to enjoy your relationship/marriage 1 Like |

its so pathethic that as low as the 10500 for preparing that food is, there are graduates who are paid just a little above that per month, things must change for good indeed. 1 Like |

ChiSun27:That is extreme stinginess sef, with the current way things are you will need at least 700 naira on food per day if you manage making about 21k a month which is lesser or the amount some graduates collect as salary monthly so pathethic |

EMEKA1MILLION: The question's how can you keep a soup for a damn 4weeks . Even tho you preserved it in the freezer the life will never remain the same. Well, as a bachelor living alone too. I usually cook similar things mostly on weekends and i'm already tired of them as the days runs down (1 week). On a Cost Saving Plan (CSP) campaign, i'm also a subcriber to it and i save alot on that scheme 1 Like |
