ingredients
- yam
- fresh fish (Titus/Kote)
- dry fish(optional )
- pepper
- tomatoes
- onion
- palm oil
- pumpkin leave (ugu)
- cow skin (ponmo)(optional)
- grinded crayfish
- seasoning


method of cooking step 1
- peel, cut yam into small pieces(cube) wash,set aside leaving inside water the bowl
- debone dry fish, wash into a pot, wash fresh fish into same pot,add water, season and Cook
- debone fresh fish when it cooked
- wash ponmo thoroughly cut into tiny pieces then set aside
- wash ugu leave, cut then set aside
- wash pepper,tomatoes and onion grind then fry with the desired palm oil for cooking the porridge,until there is no trace of water,then set aside

method of cooking step 2
- place yam into pot, add water,season allow to boil
- add fried pepper and tomatoes
- add fresh fish,dry fish and stock
- add crayfish
- leave to cook for 10 minutes then taste to know if any seasoning is not enough ( add if needed)
- allow to cook till it is soft
- add ponmo
- using a spatula (wooden spoon) mash gently
- switch off the gas or stove, add vegetable and stir.
- cover,leave for 5 minutes and its ready

NB
pouring the pepper, fish on top is to avoid burning, if poured into pot before adding yam, it would settle at the bottom of the pot, if u not using a non-stick pot your ingredients might burn especially on high heat.

- the heat from the food is enough for the vegetable
- pls careful when adding season to yam when boiling let it be minimal due to seasoning from stock
- I use curry,thyme,and nut meg to boil my fish, but in little quantity and it comes out excellent. the last I shared such information some people rained insult on me. try it, taste better. enjoy

hmmmmh, looking really palatable for my liking...would try adding kpomo and fresh fish cos I use only dry fish

Looks good, i have never used tomato or even fry my pepper before use.

Will try this.
