University/polytechnics as the case may be shouldn't be seen as a ground for correction of such anomalies. The much I know, every university/polytechnic graduate is expected to have gone through a secondary school where the fundamentals of English language is being taught. My point is Nigerian education systen has lost it. 70% of this blame goes to the secondary school because the first question u want to ask is how did such fellow passed English in WAEC/NECO at credit level. Because of the corruption that has eaten deep into the country people maneuver their ways to miracles center to Ace all subject in their O' Level, Score high marks in Jamb and pay so much to get admitted into some of the institutions and probably graduate with a third class all in the name of having the so much highly respected CERTIFICATE as far as the country is concern |

What is the problem? Fear of failure is killing many people. Write your own book before you condemn the guy. I made mistakes too. What about the Publisher or the error from the printer? Embrace failure. Take a risk. You will succeed. Excellence is an act of doing something continuously until it becomes perfect. 2 Likes |

A "graduate" with B.sc in Business Admin. wrote that? I'm not surprised at all! Nigerian universities churn out illiterate "graduates" yearly. That's why there are many unemployed "graduates" because they're unemployable. There're many 'graduates" here on Nairaland who can't write English too. 1 Like |

God2man:not like a book for kids sweety. they are gonna learn that bull crap for a very long time. i was in primary 2 when i read the word 'fragile' in a book. primary 5 when i learnt 'abandon' and jss1 when i learnt "juggle"....they sounded sooooooo big to me and funny too. my point is : kids never really forget. so the writer was not supposed to test his ugly Eskimo literacy in a book for kids! yuck. that sucks man. |

Lolz, but is she the one that is borns it?! This is so hilarious, but seriously, one's written and spoken english isn't based on the Uni, it's based more on one's educational roots, altho one is expected to improve on it, but some secondary sch students speak better Eng than some graduates, an example is right b4 u. Trying to imagine how she got thru the Uni with such English. 1 Like |
