Over 1,500 homes, houses and abodes with over 10,000 persons – women, children and retired civil servants – both young and old risk being rendered homeless by Governor Nasir El Rufai’s obnoxious orders to demolish the Gbagyi Villa in Kaduna State.

The state government has given the residents only 3 weeks (21 days) notice to vacate homes that they have lived all their lives. Who does that? If not a heartless, murderous, destructive, rampaging, power-drunk regime.

How can you give people living in their own houses just 21 days to pack out and to where precisely? Despite a prevailing court order restraining El Rufai from carrying out his crimes against humanity in Kaduna, the man his made up his mind to render many homeless in the search for supremacy over God.

Is this the change many asked for when they voted a heartless man into office of governor?

El Rufai’s laws are anti people and ego-driven. Why doesn’t he fight for environmental bills to would clean up the environment and protect residents of Kaduna? Why doesn’t El Rufai fight for a traffic bill that would clean up the roads and make Kaduna safer for residents?

No. Instead, all El Rufai has done since assuming office is to push for laws that restrict personal and religious freedoms, and orders to play god as he demolishes even religious buildings. He paints the picture of the murderous Chemical Ali in Saddam’s oppressive Iraq.

When El Rufai’s orders are carried out, one may ask, what happens next? Untold satisfaction, as he sits on his oversize chair behind an even more oversized desk as he relishes the pain of the victims of his draconian executive orders.

Let it be known to the world that as a direct result of Governor El Rufai’s orders to demolish a privately developed retirement village in Kaduna, two senior citizens suffered heart attacks and died. Not even the news of death can deter El Rufai from his dance to Waterloo.

But, as El Rufai continues in his Nebuchadnezzar’s reign of terror on the citizens of Kaduna, we commit him to the judgement of the one and true, the ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD.

The ill-conceived plan by Gov ElRufai to demolish the entire Gbagyi Chiefdom influenced the #ElrufaiDestroysKaduna that trended on twitter and other social media yesterday.

We all can join our voices to save the good people of Gbagyi Chiefdom...

This op is sentimental with the truth. This gbagi villa case has been on for years now. There was even a time that the government issued some very strict warning to people not to go close to the environs of kaduna polytechnic(sabon-tasha campus), and this was as far back as 2008/09. The demolition of gbagi villa was to be carried out last year under the era of ramalan yero, but I guess he didn't carry out the demolition because he wanted some votes. El- rufai has demolished many houses in Zaria(his hometown) because the buildings were either built on government lands or due-processes were not followed in acquiring the lands. Cases of people encroaching government lands didn't start today in Kaduna even when they know the government can wake up any day and demolish their houses.

I think there was even a particular time that the Nigeria military has to demolished some houses built on their lands(in old NDA), now who in his right senses will buy a land in NDA just because someone told you that they have relocated to their new and permanent site? I saw a similar thread like this in the morn but I just choose not to comment there because nobody there really understood the real issue.

He did the same as a onetime FCT minister, and is widely said to be the best minister of the FCT since its creation, so maybe we should wait till the end of his tenure and judge him by his pros and cons. Notwithstanding the public still should make their views known. Criticism is the best form of followership

Extremist governor. What is his reason for this demolition? I heard he has been championing some equal wicked laws to check 'religious' activities. How true?

Repent from spreading falsehood boss. There is an existing court judgement by the Kaduna state high court that separates the Lands belonging to Gbagyii Chiefdom from those of the Poly. What are you saying?
Re: Nasir El Rufai As Kaduna’s ‘Chemical Ali’ – The Gbagyi Villa Misdemeanor by Nobody: 5:46pm On Mar 08, 2016
If the matter is a subject of litigation in the courts then the govt has no choice but to stay the execution of that order until such a time it has been concluded. Also if the said land is being illegally occupied by the residents, then the govt has a right to eject them with adequate time to relocate and compensation

1. The matter is under litigation and there is an existing restraining order on d government.

2, There is an existing court judgement that separates Kad Poly land from Gbagyi land.

Then present the court order. Nobody is arguing with you that the land doesn't belong to gbagis. But what happened was; the government bought the land from gbagi people for the sole purpose of building another campus for Kaduna polytechnic, at the end the government succeeded in buying the land. The land was demarcated and at the end, a kadpoly campus was built there. Mind you everything happened many years back.

So what happened next, the gbagis that first sold the land to government started selling same parts of the lands to the public at a very cheap price. The polytechnic authorities issued warning to people to stop buying their lands because they have already bought the land from gbagis. People refused to heed to the polytechnic warnings and they even went ahead to build their houses on the disputed land. Who does that?

The polytechnic then threatened to demolished their houses if they don't vacate the lands. To be honest I don't know when both parties went to court or who took who to court but I know as of 2008/09, the government issued a warning for people to vacate the lands because it belongs to the polytechnic. You know Nigerians, everybody ignored the warning because of this our mindset that nothing works in Nigeria.

And today the same people that were issued evacuation notice many years ago are crying blue murder. This issue is similar with that of NIPP. People buy lands on government reserve areas and cry blue murder went the government bring the bulldozers.

You know the Op's hypocrisy stinks to high heaven. Why didn't they say anything when houses in Alhudahuda Zaria were being demolished by the government?

Can you tell us the exact facts?

From my experience, it is better to wait for the version from the Kaduna State government before jumping to conclusions
