Seven Nigerians Herdsmen Die In Clash With Farmers In Ghana by emmanwandud(m): 9:12pm On Mar 08, 2016

The acting Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Adekunbi Sonaike Ayodeji, has disclosed the killing of seven Fulani Nigerian herdsmen in Ghana.
Addressing a news conference in Accra, Commissioner Ayodeji said the Fulani herdsmen were killed when they clashed with some farmers in some parts of the country.
She said the Commission will take responsibility in part for the activities of the herdsmen because some of them are citizens of Nigeria.
She sympathized with the farmers whose economic life is destroyed by activities of these Fulani herdsmen.
However, Commissioner Ayodeji has refuted claims by some Ghanaians that activities of Fulani herdsmen are responsible for the destruction of some farms in Ghana.
“It will be unfair to say everything is being caused by these Fulani herdsmen. There are roles played by even the nationals,” she said.
Commissioner Ayodeji blamed the whipping of sentiments by the Ghanaian media which she said is responsible for the recent hostility activities against Fulani herdsmen.
She called on the government to collaborate with the High Commission to resolve the issue before it takes a different proportion.

God bless the Ghanaians. Coward Nigerians should learn from them rather than issuing lame ultimatums and issuing useless bans that doesn't really change anything.

Even the silly Yoruba ambassador was still defending these useless vermin fulanis despite the fact that fulanis are killing fellow Nigerians daily across the middle belt and south.

Why are yorubas like this?

I tire oo! Nigerian Ministers, Ambassadors, Police, DSS and other bodies acting in the capacity of the Nigeria Government are all bunch of azz lickers who only say things and do things that their pay master wants to hear and wants them to do. I don't blame them though. Fear of poverty and inferiority complex. Worst is a guy named Akintola, justifying the kidnap of Ese by saying there's is no age barrier for marriage in Islam. The Yoruba Muslims are the ones selling us to these Fulanis all in a bid to advance the cause of their religion - that's paramount for them than the Yoruba interest.

I said it earlier on that Fulani herdsmen can nt do anything in Ghana, simply because they dont have executive cover-up or shielded by the military.
Dont forget that the president of Ghana is nt a fulani man or niether is he the mayetti allah cattle breeders association head.

It's not even because the high commissioner is Yoruba. The bottom line is that once you decide to serve this contraption called Nigeria, you would have already decided to pay your unalloyed loyalty to the Fulani.

Everything about your conviction as an individual is suspended.

How couldn't everything be caused by the Fulani who would invade people's farms uninvited and destroy their crops?
How could u defend the indefensible?

Am certain Ayodeji would also exonerate the Fulani in Agatu, Ondo, Delta etc..

Where is the enforcement of the law of 'unlawful possession of fire arms' in Nigeria?

This was exactly the statement some of you made when Agatu people attacked and killed few Fulani herdsmen last year. Violence can never solve the problem especially against a people who have no home but are nomads. Watch how their revenge of 7 might be 700 and it might come in 5 years time or next week but I bet the Ghanian villagers will be caught unawares.

Exactly!
These people have nothing to loose but cattle.... Whereas, Some people will loose their entire livelihoods in reprisal attacks.
Is it not in the same Ghana that Fulani herdsmen have been terrorizing Agogo community for years now? I am sure their own situation also started from something like this.
Not making an excuse for these blood sucking mongrels called herdsmen, but in case of any disagreement, more should be done to get local governments involved in their registration and tagging of their cattle. Any destruction must be compensated immediately.

The Fulanis feel they have every right to stick to their ways of life and their elites are not visibly helping their herdsmen in upgrading their operations.
