Sounds like our Niger Delta militants have hit a 'jack pot'.

Imagine: N20,000 Monthly allowance plus N1,500 daily for food, while in rehabilitation centre.
This looks very fishy. I smell a big rat!

Excerpts:

Some 10,000 militants could benefit from an amnesty in Nigeria's oil-producing Niger Delta region, a military official has said.
.
.
.
The disarming militants would be paid 20,000 naira ($135) per month while in the centres, along with 1,500 naira a day for food, he said.

20K a month? what would that buy?
Rehab for fighting for a "fair share of the pie" according to them?
I need to digest this better and be back

This is an insult to others who have so far pushed their cause in a peaceful manner!!! This is an insult to average nigerians who have patiently waited for change in that country.

Waiting patiently led to Saro Wiwa's hanging. There was no one more patient or civil than Ken Saro Wiwa. Patience doesn't pay.

The only thing that can resolve the Nigerian problem is true federalism, not bribing the youth while "normalcy" continues.
On the day every Nigerian perceives equity, anyone carrying weapons would have declared themselves to be criminals.
