A man identified by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as a ward agent of the party has been shot and killed by gunmen believed to be working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Nonwa, in Tai Local Government Area.



Tension-soaked rerun elections are holding in Rivers State today, March 19, 2016.



According to eyewitnesses at the scene, who spoke with reporters, the victim Tambari Ntoti was the ward agent for the PDP in Ward 3. He was carrying out his official duties when thugs sponsored by APC politicians stormed a polling unit and gunned him down.



At the time of filing this report, Ntoti’s body is still lying at the spot where he was felled.
