REVOLUTIONARY MILITARY INTERVENTION

[b]
Dear Nigerians,

With reference to economic hardship, challenges militating lives and properties' safety, religious and social terrorism, political and leadership corruption, expensive system of government, that are all prevalent in our dear Nation at the expense of the peace of we Nigerians , I deem it expedient to write that if after 2019 President Buhari could not put an end to this dilemma, we should all welcome REVOLUTIONARY MILITARY INTERVENTION.

In the last 17 years of democracy, death rate has increased astronomically as a result of High Blood Pressure caused by Nigeria economy, unemployment, political violence and accidents.

Dear patriots, though we might have enjoyed more
freedom of speech under the civilian rule, but we must accept the fact that if by 2019 Nigeria still remains same or worse, a corrective INTERVENTION FROM THE MILITARY should be called for to correct our failures in our civilian experiments.

It's high time we shunned mediocrity, sentiment and discrimination and face the fact. My studies prove that Our democracy and economy is bound to crash after 2019 if we still entrust our Nation in the hands of these same present group of politicians.

In the last 17 years of our democracy we have realized that this system of Government is not in the interest of Nigerians. It is too expensive and so we must employ the military to come in and stay for a maximum of 12 months.

The fact is that if it could be possible in Egypt, it will workout well In Nigeria as well. Military intervention should to be:

1. Restructure the country along regional governments and local councils: No state governments Please.

2. Resource Control by regions. The regions should pay taxes to the federal govt between 50%-60% for the first 5 yrs to help the other regions and this will
gradually reduce to 20% over the next 10 yrs so that
the other regions can develop their regions.

3 Change our system of Government to a parliamentary system where our legislators would be
on a part time basis

4. Conduct a Sovereign National conference to discuss The Nigerian state: Ex Militants, Boko haram members, OPC and IPBO should all be invited so that issues of religion, resource control and other things that concern our nations can be discussed.

5. Place a ban on all politicians that participated in democracy till date and prevent them from contesting elections.

6. Fix salary structures of public office holders and make reviews of such salaries and allowances as difficult as possible. Make sure political office is not attractive so that those with just the interest of the
people at heart can participate.

7. Strengthen our anti corruption agencies by restructuring EFFC, ICPC and the Code of Conduct Bureau

8. Establish a Truly independent election commission: our best elections were under the military, June 12 and 1999 elections

9. Try all corrupts politicians and Judicial officers in Special Anti-Corruption Courts

10. make corruption a punishable offence by death as from the next dispensation

Prior to 2015 presidential election, we all hope Mohammad Buhari as the long awaiting messiah to rescue Nigeria from brink of collapse. But it is daily becoming conspicuous to us all how the whole efforts put in place is being frustrated.

We surely need MILITARY INTERVENTION (not Military Rule).

God bless You all

Dr Saint

Meanwhile, we shall resist any soldier that illegally seize power from any government in Naija. The army destroyed Nigeria. If there wasn't a coup we would have hone far. We either change government through the ballot or other legitimate means.

Pls we are not discussing Jesus here.

But what is common sense revolution by you?
Don't be deceived!

Our Mass Protest against present system of governance is what Military waits for.

Note: all one-time politicians would be banned from participating in the next dispensation. That alone is enough to gate-crash those political cabals who don't mean well for Nigeria

It's a good thing you said we should give them till 2019 but things might turn out real bad with the direction our nation is going right now . We need the REAL CHANGE and that is what you stated above.

Let be truthful, what we need now is integrity and faithful personality in military uniform as our president. How I wish PMB should have been our military president now.

What other countries applied and worked for have been tried and failed in Nigeria because of too many greedy political player and professional liar business man called lawyers.

It is true military are unsafe with state affairs but records show dat some of retired military men perform well in power dan raw politician NCOs of their discipline.

I blif dat God knows and have best program for us and shall send us best leader to rule this country be it military or politician, in God we trust.

God bless Nigeria

All the former military heads of states, governors, members of armed forces ruling council and military ministers all became multi millionaires, owners of oil blocks and the largest farms all over nigeria. Check the boards of banks and the stock market retired military men have the largest shares. So it amuses me when people think they will be better than civilians ruling the country. The major difference with the military is that only them chop and clean mouth. No bloody civilian has any say and you can be jailed for com planing AKA decree no 4. They don't have to show you their budget, they kukuma don't even need to have a budget. You cannot remove them if they mess up (remember Abacha). So keep praying for bondage. Obviously these are people who were in primary school prior to 1999 otherwise they would remember sleeping in fuel queue for days, SAP, essential comodity era, Tally number in the bank, doctors, journalists and lecturers fleeing the country in droves. Anyway they don't teach history in schools anymore so it's obvious why younger Nigerians think this way.

Barca, you sincerely goofed as regard this issue. I guess you just commented by mere looking at the topic. That is not speak well of your personality on Nairaland. So Try not just to be knocking out opinions without giving it a second thought. Men of sound brain have posted sensible comment. They know Nigeria is at the brink of collapse.

Believe me you, all the present politicians cant lead Nigeria to its Canaan land. Military has to come in to restrict all those rogues with selfish motive in Politics.
We need new generation of politicians

No wonder we are moving backward with buhari an ex military dictator who actively contributed to our nation's woes. Military incursion into our polity remains the singular retrogressive stroke of our nation.

May we never see military again in governance. Let them do their duty of defending nigeria and where interested in leadership they must resign and contest. Simple as ABC.

@Allycat:

Mr Man you seem not to understand the issue well. Look back to 17 years when Military handed over to civilian government, things have gone worse.

The major challenge that leads to that is the lapses of lack of discipline in democratic practices. The who Nigeria is corrupt, politicians even lawyers are corrupt.

And this will continue till jesus comes if not checkmate.

We need military intervention to restructure Nigeria. Present set of politicians can do that. For example, what has happened to the referendum during Jonathan era?

There are influences from all angles frustrating the implementation. This is a shame

Again, Buhari forwarded a Anti-corruption bill to NASS, till today nothing has being done about it.

I'm not a kid as you insinuated. By 1999 I had already started a Nursery and Primary School which is still functioning till date.

In 1984-85 I witnessed Buhari's government which I can make references to in comparing to present dispensation.

Mohammad Buhari has intention to revive Nigeria but democracy does not permit.

If you look at the past of Military influences in Nigeria government, you just have to agree with my opinion.

Forget about the pas military leaders who are rich by crook, we need them to enact policy.

Imagine, Military can bar Tinubu, Amechi, Alimodu Sherrif, other from participating in politics but Democracy can not.

The present set of Military leaders are more wiser and innovative. We hhave both learnt fron our 17yrs democratic errors.

We need them.

Imagine, a filling station is supppose to sell fuel at N86.50k but selling at N120 and you expect democracy to continue.

I live very close to two filling stations, one sells normal price while other sells N120. That's what is destroying Nigeria.

Rubbish

Our so called military from korofo to field Marshall are all Nigerians and we including me are as bad as each other, Gaddafi was a idealistic colonel who made himself defacto king.

Keep quoting N86 a litre, don't ask much it costs to get that elusive litre to your petrol station. Would you sell any item in your own shop for below cost price especially when there is a shortage? Patriotic or not patrotic.

My friend think of progressive ideas that curb individual political power, that encourage commercial enterprise and create wealth for the polity, not this backward thinking of giving power to a few smartly dressed ex NDA boys

But I am thinking of my children and my children's children.
