Aba glass industry is the brain child of former Governor of old Imo state (the weeping Governor) Dee Sam Onunaka Mbakwe. Since the Army take over in 1984, the subsequent administrators and Governors of both Imo and Abia states had so neglected the project thereby bringing it to it’s knees.



The neglect of Aba, the Japan of Africa, and her potentials by the government of Nigeria, was the reason Dee Sam wept.

Dee Sam did everything to ensure Aba remained the commercial nerve center of not just Nigeria, but the West African Sub-Region, including building the International Glass Industry.

But Gov. Ikeazu has today brought it back to life. This industry can employ up to 5000 people. That is 5000 people off the streets. Gov. Ikeazu, more grease to your elbow.
