Porters will do nothing. Some will attempt to seize it but na wash. Inshort, last semester was so free that people were using hotplates without locking their doors. It was like the management told the porters not to seize hotplates again but refused them telling us.

Na your small pocket money you want take waste on kerosene in this choking recession? The school perfectly understands this, so you have nothing to worry.

Even during the era when hotplate use was as grave as sinning against the holy spirit, na 100naira or 2h we take dey bail am.

I'm a deeper lifer and i can relate to that due to paul's epistle were he said

Not to all!, the hostel space is limited, but there's a considerable chance for most students.

officially naaah, but students use it though. most times Potters see students using the stuff, but they might ignore depending on their mood I guess. but they become red eyed when they are officially inspecting on selected days usually accompanied by the dean of students or a representative.

Reminds me of my 200level in school.. A squatter telling me anything I have is also His!.. Would buy foodstuff and other useful stuff and the next time I check, I'll feel like crying.. Good memories though!!
