Probably going to be Alfafa grass seeds and not importation of grasses. If one can also grow them and process them into bales of hay, another business opportunity. Hopefully would keep the marauding militant herdsmen at bay.

Also rice importation if the demand can be met is better in the long run. Thousands of farmers on the Fadama and elsewhere produce rice and so would be better we support local farmers than far flung humans from distant countries.

FYI, Nigeria is trying to be self sufficient in food production; hence the ban on rice importation in order to support its local production. Now isnt the time to start encouraging indiscriminate importation.

On the other hand, the grass being imported is a special grass seedling and it is meant for planting and production here in Nigeria and not eating. Once again, now isnt the time to encourage importation of anything for direct consumption.

There is no need to touch cattle feed as more smart business men in that sector only import specialist food and don't feed their animals with imported plants as it does not make financial sense.
