Report reaching us says that tom polo a former militant leader was arrested in his hide out in the creeks in river state after a bloody gun battle that lasted for five hours left six soldiers and seven militants dead another eight people sustained injuries and nine others are in critical condition in portharcourt general hospital. Eye witnesses said ten of the militants escaped while eleven others were arrested. However when contacted, the inspector general of police Solomon arase declined to comment on the issue but however reminded us that today is April 1st and who ever believes what he has just read, needs to have his head examined.
