The Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina state yesterday ended a weeklong tour of Federal constituencies in the state urging members not to despair.
Addressing newsmen at the end of the tour, the state PDP chairman, Salisu Yusuf Majigiri said the party was strongly on ground in the state noting, “We interacted with our members and what we saw on ground showed clearly that the PDP’s followership is intact in the state.”
Majigiri said the tour was aimed at mobilizing members ahead of the party’s delegate’s election billed to hold this month in line with PDP constitutions assuring that the party would ensure level playing ground for all.

Meanwhile, PDP has constituted a 7 man “special committee on verification and protection of peoples’ rights” in the state.
Inaugurating the committee, the state chairman, Majigiri said it was informed by the need to verify the geniuses or other wise of some complaints against the current APC government in the state.
“All throughout the period PDP govern the state, we never incurred debts for the state but in less than one year, Masari borrowed over twenty billion.”
“Only God knows what the debt profile of Katsina state will be at the end of the four years tenure of APC,” he said.
