If Abiola invested so much in the economy, then there would have been no need for searching out infrastructure to name after him. If he had built a stadium with his personal money, he would have named it MKO Abiola stadium and there would be no need to be searching for anything else to name after him.

Being that the government has to seek public facilities to name after Abiola simply shows that Abiola himself didn't provide any infrastructure with the money he stole from that budgeted for infrastructure in Nigeria in the form of telephony.

When are they naming something after Ojukwu? It is long overdue.

You see, the issue of Tribalism has to always come up.

There was a time General Sani Abacha built a structure in Benin called the Sani Abacha Cultural Centre. The next thing, after he died, some people came and turned it to the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre.

I don't support such a thing. All the Governors of Edo state will tell you no one can develope central Benin City with new structures yet someone did and they took the glory away. It is wrong.

If MKO had built any structure with his wealth stolen from the Nigerian state, we will not be naming other structures after him. If he had developed the Telecommunications backbone during the time of the ITT contract, maybe Nitel would have been named after him. But he did with the money only what God knows.
