Sokoto Signs Agreement With Chinese Agricultural Firm by 360metrosports: 10:18pm On Apr 11, 2016 |
Sokoto government today signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese firm, Henan Province of China, for the establishment of a demonstration farm and boosting of agriculture in the state. According to the Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal's spokesperson, Imam Imam, this agreement has made Sokoto one of the beneficiaries of the 100 agricultural projects to be sited in developing countries which was announced by the Chinese President, Ji Xinping during the South-South Cooperation meeting held in September 2015. The deal will see to the application of new technology for cultivation of crops such as corn, wheat, tomatoes and onions. This trip to China will be the most beneficial to Nigeria. All the other trips to America and Europe are mostly globetrotting as those countries dont have money to give anyone, all we get are the usual western empty promises. America to invest $600m in Nigeria, EU to invest $500m in Nigeria all na wash!. The Chinese are out for business, they should also sign agreement for China to teach the Fulani starting from Sokoto about Cattle ranching to avoid all the needless bloodshed in the country by herdsmen, we no get cows reach China. 1 Like |

a typical nigerian dont know that INVESTMENT has two sides. 1 investors can invest in real estates, infrastructures, and othe immovable facilities thereby creating jobs n wealth. 2 investors can invest in ur economy either thru dumping cheap goods n technologies in the country at the end recoup their monies n without any trace of infrastructures to their name. abeg what kind of investment these guys wan invest for nigeria? 1 Like |
