JuanDeDios:

What has Murray-Bruce said please?
He said the Calabar-Lagos rail was not in the budget sent by the president. He said only the president has the right to submit additional or suplementary. Amaechi in his wisdom decided to deal with the Senate committee on Transportation behind closed doors to correct what he termed an omission of the rail project by the budget office. Its clear even to a blind man that both senate apc and presidency apc are in a battle of supremacy while the masses suffer!

Nwannem, mention one Igbo senator that have spoken in defence of the Lagos-Calabar rail? Dont forget that the rail route would also pass accross states in the SE. Our senators have decided to politicise the whole issue to the detriment of the development the propesed project would have in the SE. Some are even calling for the resignation of Amaechi.

If its the Lagos-Calabar rail or the Lagos-Kano rail, the SW would still benefit from any of the project. They have nothing to lose if one is substituted for another. But our own senators in the SE have chosen to remain complacent over a project that would also benefit our region

All these people are very good players, they keep on playing us like UEFA ball. God is on the throne sad

You and Sen. Ben Bruce will pretend as if you did not read that Sen. Udoma Udo sent an amended Budget to the Committees in the House of Representatives and Senators.

The Minister for Budget and Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, told our reporter at the weekend that the government included the project (Lagos-Calabar) in the 'amended budget' and passed it to the Standing Committees of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

We are saying the same thing. Any budget not submitted by the president is null and void and would be considered a surreptitious move to sneak foreing material into the budget. Pride and arrogance did not allow Amaechi and his principal to follow due process! Like the surreptitious stealing of the budget in january, this is yet another one.
