am seeing 1tr for Lagos as external debt, pls is it in naira or dollar, abeg no tell me to look up, I can see but I want confirmation.
the state should kindly stop borrowing and look forward to pay up, that debt is too much, most times, what one spend on debt servicing is often more that the credit facility itself. Generations unborn will bear the brunt.
Now to my state(Osun), although I live outside it, but my family plenty therein. Aregbe, the debt is not too much per se, but pls it's not sustainable based on what you used the facility for, try think of how the state will have an IPP that can service the state for at least 18hours, this will attract investment to the state that will yield returns. I don't see how you want to manage all these non revenue yielding projects that is in all local government, although you are advancing your policy towards farming, it's good, but not sustainable enough to finance the state.
To whoever is coming after him, na beg I beg you, signature project is good, but don't embark on non revenue yielding projects.
God bless my state
God bless Nigeria.

we need solid infrastructure in Anambra state. I dont have any problem with borrowing as long as it is not borrowing for consumption. Go and check America's debt profile.

* Lagos. 268 billion

External debt profile of the geopolitical zones ( in Million dollars)

3 South West( minus Lagos) 409.1
4 South East. 280.5

3 North Central. 1.2
4 North West. 0.9
5 North. East. 0.9

Verdict: SS is heavily indebt despite huge federal government allocations, Cross Rivers and Delta seem to be the major culprits, though I understand that Cross Rivers is no longer an Oil producing state, but her debt profile is simply unacceptable, someone should be jailed for that insanity in Cross Rivers.

The amount of dept hanging on the neck of lagosians is not comisarate with the little development, recorded on under fasholas administration. And when one factors the huge IGR of lagos, you then realise that lagos was ra.ped and brutalised by the combo of fash-OLE and thieftu.nubu.

Yinmu. No be Obiano talk say Obi left him huge debts and liabilities to the tune of N106billion Or was Willie Willie lying against Peter? If na true then Una no include that debt to these debt profile wey Una dey flash o. cheesy

Obiano had dismissed Obi’s claims as “half-truths” pointing out that the former governor left the state with a heavy debt overhang of N106.2 billion when his tenure expired on March 17, 2014.Obiano had wondered how Obi could have given Ndi Anambra a rosy picture of the assets he left behind without showing them the liabilities he incurred.

check the IGR 2014 and Anambra position they are very low in IGR, 97% of the investments are control by natives, it's hard for any government to task them, it has been like this for years, now Obiano is putting effort and also enlightenment campaign, you shold be more concern about sustainability index of all states.

Lol. Since that recent IGR report release you Onambalas have been bleating like angry/hungry goats who need to revalidate their busted hype coz non-oil and non-market states like Edo and Enugu outperformed Una. cheesy Going by your jaundiced logic Anambra is better and more 'sustainable' than America herself cheesy (even though I have already exposed the hypocrisy of this thread itself as its report for your state contradicts your state governor's cheesy). You obviously live in a bubble where everyone else must conform to your state's standards so you can remain at the top. Smh. Your bloated egos need serious help. grin
