Kaduna state has always been a very tough state to handle when it comes to religion. The state is always divided along religious/ethnic lines. During Makarfi's tenure, his people nicknamed him John because they felt he was protecting the Christians.

Namadi Sambo and Emir of Zaria, Dr. Shehu Idria were not spared too when they openly campaigned for Jonathan. The hoodlums paid the monarch a visit in his palace and if not for the timely intervention of the Armies, he would have lost his. Namadi Sambo's house rumoured to house his mother at Tudun Wada, Zaria was also set ablaze. All this was because the people felt Jonathan stole their mandate as the Presidency was supposed to be occupied by a Northern muslim. Talking about born-to-rule at all cost.

I don't like the midget in Kaduna.I believe he is a like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Inasmuch as I believe religious tolerance and modesty should be inculcated in Kaduna due to its volatile nature, the midget's utterance about Jesus in the past shows he can't be trusted. Christians in Kaduna are right to contest any bill that affect their religion.

There is religious and ethnic intolerance, illiteracy, lack of employment, poverty in most Northern state and of recent extremism. These issues need to be tackled asap as some affect the southern part of the country too.

The bottom line agenda is to stop the proliferation of Islamic sects that transcends into authorities of their own. Ie Boko haram, Shiites (zakzakky), etc.

In these places u mentioned nobody intimidated or prevented mosques to be built.Rather in kano n some northrn parts deliberate attempts are made to ensure churches are not built except in sabon-gari areas.Case study is d Apostolic church in brigade nassarawa LGA which was razed down many times.Finally the govt had to relocate them S/Gari.

Don't be hypocritical, its true you hardly find christians living in muslim dominated areas in the north, tell me how would a church be sited in areas where there are no christian residents? Who will worship there?

Is this situation any different from what exist in the southern states as well particularly the SE and SS? Are you trying to say that Muslims are found everywhere and mosques are ubiquitous sight through out their cities even where no muslim lives?

I am familiar with Zaria very well. Areas like Zaria city, Kofar Doka, Jos road, Tudun Wada, no church can be built in these areas. The only church built in Gyellesu where El-Zakzaky lives is in Kongo Campus-ABU and that church has been subject to debate several times by extremists who believes it's wrong for it to be there ignoring the fact that there are northern Christians and Christian students from other part of the country.

Again, there is Nasara Baptist Church located at Gaskiya, a road leading to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic. I love the northern Christians that attend this Church. Each time there's religious crisis, this Church would set on fire and the Christians would rebuild. I have lost count of how many times that Church has been attacked. This is because these extremist want to dictate where Churches would be built. Yet in places dominated by Christians, the Muslims live a peaceful life devoid of threat and intimidation. This should stop.
