Celebrating An Important Part Of The Society by Esthefaith(f): 1:07pm On Apr 19, 2016
its my birthday and am celebrating those who need love more than I do with this poem

Just a Little Smile

The trampled lot
disdained by progenitor
labelled as a waste of semen
dropped in a basket by the roadside
abandoned at a Riverside
left inhumanly to their fate;
the bundles of innocence
with flailing arms
crying out for love
struggling to be heard
in a city of chaos
swallowed by the noise of the market
children of determination
their destinies won't be denied
by the confused citizens
our heroes of tomorrow
passing through furnace
to come forth as gold
with a little smile
from a sincere heart
they shall reign

the trampled lot
relegated to the backseat
caged by immobility
ignored in the society
limping towards a fudgy future
worries of getting-by
encumbers their heart
carving their troubled soul
into jumbled bits
caged might be their movement
but unlimited is their potential
with just a little smile
to brighten their hazy day
from a sincere heart ,
centuries of scorn
fades away
To awaken in them
princes and princesses.
