Last week Friday, he was rushed to hospital after making an emergency landing.

They called it a 'flu' and that he would be just fine.

There hasn't been any recent photos of him for most of this year and last year, so it was a bit confusing. Something has been going on. May God rest his talented soul

I thought it was a joke to but once BBC confirmed it, I was shocked. He died to young and there have been rumors that he was planning to do a big world tour soon

Love his music, neva really liked his lifestyle though but he was without a shadow of a doubt, a legend in the class of legends like micheal jackson.

RIP Prince. One of the best musicians that ever lived. Up there with James Brown, Michael Jackson, Barry White and Teddy Pendagrast. Wao, what a great shock. He just had a show in Moline, Illinois few days ago. Once again, adieu to one of the greatest musicians of all time.

A great musician who inspired numerous artists of different genre, a real sad day for music.

Never cared for his music but RIP nonetheless. Michael Jackson's death shocked and left a gaping hole in my heart for a full week. I thought MJ would live to see 65 but the cold hands of death needed him more.

True its a fact of life, how someone is prepared for it is based on the individual themselves and how they lived their life but Prince was still young, he was not in his 70's or anything. Any way who knows what he was going through. Micheal Jackson died in his early 50's as well and it wasn't really his time yet either

Michael jackson along with this man were some of the legends that adorned my childhood. RIP prince you will surely be missed.
