BREAKING: Kidnapped Osun Perm Sec, Others Released

THE three officials of Osun State Civil Service have been released by their abductors.



According to an impeccable source within government circle in Osun State, the three were released late Sunday, 24th April, 2016.

The trio include Bimpe Ogunlumade, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Tajudeen Badejoko, Director of State Audit and the Driver to the Auditor-General(State), Mr. Oladapo Ajani Arogundade.

Sources said they were released in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital and arrangements are now in top gear to have them transported to their home state.

The Permanent Secretary and other officials were abducted at gunpoint on Friday at Obajana along Lokoja-Okene road in Kogi state on their way from Abuja where they attended the briefing on the State and Local Government Reforms Project; a World Bank and European Union Programme.

The state Auditor General who also travelled with the officials was said to have escaped the abduction by a whiskers.
