Prince Ugochukwutalebu of Family writers who just arrived Abuja high court can authoritatively report to the situation room of Family Writers that Abuja high court is scanty with just two DSS personnels present.

This is unlike the usual court days Nnamdi Kanu is to be tried. There used to be notable presence of the DSS and with this development, another postponement might yet be in the coffin. As usual, power has failed in Abuja high court and there is a quick response to contain the embarrassment.

After the long wait for the presiding judge, he has finally came out to continue his shambolic or rather headless prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu.

There is displeasure all over the face of the trial judge as he was confused why power failed. There have been issue of darkness in Nigeria and even the court's generator set might fail as well. While this is the case, the power failure temporary suspended movements and everything going on until power is restored

10: 09: Kanu is in now, and the Judge is in, and the judgment has commenced with the Defence team making introductions. There are 12 lawyers for the Defence.

10: 17: the prosecution has already introduced themselves and the Judge is about to give his ruling.


10: 30: The judge is saying after all that the trial of Kanu will be on the court order. Then the clincher: the dates for trial will be June 21, 22 and23. The 24 of June is the date for the trial and ruling.

One thing about Kanus case is that it has exposed the shambles known as the Nigerian Judicial system. Many people didn't even know what Courtroom looked like until this case. We are observing as they make a mockery of themselves
