I blame the federal ministry of agriculture on this issue, because it has failed to arrest this situation. If I were to handle this situation, instead of killing people,it will provide employment, and everyone will be happy.
This problem is a result of population increase, the normal migration pattern of the nomads, is to move down south during dry season. But now most of the bushes are disappearing because of development and the nomads think is their right to graze wherever they like.

There are ways of conserving our grasses during the wet season and it will be used in the dry season to feed the cattle. Cattle rearing has changed in Nigeria, is no longer business as usual. If u own a cattle, u have to keep them in your range and provide for them. Call in specialist to conserve your grasses for you,treat them and also let the nomads have better quality of life then they are getting from the cattle owners who are exploiting them.
I like the statement made by that secretary, it shows the psychology behind this frequent attacks. Someone up there is really encouraging the nomads because according to the secretary, that is their grazing deserve.

For me, I see the grazing reserves as aggravating the problem; though I’ve not read the law, I don’t see how that law can find comfort with the land user’s act; the control of land is vested in the governor of the state; I can’t see any federal law that will compulsorily acquire any land from any state government; in my state for example, it cannot work.

Fashola village in Oyo, Oyo state was made a grazing land in, I think 1985 or thereabout.
That's just to be truthful and set the records straight.

Haven said this, this is modern day and Oyos say no grazing reserve area. Sambisa will be proper for this purpose.

Well., I listened to that programme from beggining to the end. The man never said what you are reporting. What the man said is that there are grazing grounds allocated by the federal govt since 1988. They are asked him where the grazing grounds are and said mostly incthe north and some parts of the south west eg oyo and ogun
