D sheer hypocrisy exhibited by some of U oozes all over the place.. Why won't our reserves kip shrinking wen what most of these states are interested in is whatever comes into the pockets of the FG. Except for Lagos, how many of the states can stand on their own? Good for the goose, good for the gander.. I remember most of these governors are also of the APC. Instead of d morons to look at alternatives for generating revenue and developing whatever potential their states offer, they're always after "share d funds". After Amaechi and his cohorts took d FG to courts over sharing, months later dis govt came in and still offered bailouts no questions asked.. Oya giv dem more

LMFAO, this is laughable. Let's see if they have the spine to sue the FG to court like they did GEJ.

Ok. But Sam Daddy should continue in the Senate by 2019 to learn the ropes more. He will possibly be senate president if Hope Uzodinma and co permit. For now, Nda Emma ga chi anyi.

Whoever will rule Imo will be a decision of Orlu zone. If we back Uzodinma and Okorocha supports him nobody can challenge Uzodinma. Owerri and Okigwe can never come out in one voice. The only way an Owerri or Okigwe will emerge Governor is if he has the backing of Okorocha. Hope's campaign vehicles are ready and waiting.

Hehehehehehehehehehe grin

This is the same thing they did during Jonathan's time, Amaechi who was the then chairman of the governors' forum led other governors, and they even sued the FG because of this issue.

Later some brain washed zombies will say "Jonathan and Ngozi didn't save for rainy days", Can you all now see what we've been talking about?.

That is where the WILL comes in.

Jonathan and Ngozi should be responsible enough to stand their grounds to save.

Why will governors not demand sharing when they knew Dansuki is an ATM.

That was Amaechi and Oshomole!s job during GEJ administration. But funny enough they are the ones now shouting on top of their voice that GEJ government did not save for the raining days. Buhari should not mind them look at their faces

The federal government should merge the 36 states of the Nigeria into regions. All the states in Nigeria apart from Lagos state, Ogun states can not source for tangible source of livelihood.

Their internally generated revenue is just peanut. If states are joined into regions we will have a better managed country.

Regional government will be stronger and better for our economy instead of the so called federal government that is lording over the states.

The power allocated to the federal government by virtue of the constitution is affecting the development of the states.

There are some states in the niger delta like delta states, bayelsa states, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers that can not fully administer the sea port in their domain.

Our governors find it challenging going to source for foreign investment in their domain. Corruption by our governors is crying to the high heavens.

The FG should share the money left over in the ECA but should not stop in deductions from debtor states to service their debt.

The matter at hand is that it is a rainy day fund. It is raining right now.
By the way, I am from the Bola Tinubu school of thought who opposed this account from the start.
Only fools save money underneath the mattress while their homes burn.
Obasanjo should have invested the money into Nigeria.
Uninterrupted Power, roads, trains, modern agriculture and aggressive trade policy would have been enough to move us away from a petrol state.
Lagos, ogun and oyo invested a lot and that is why they are providing the bulk of federal income today
did u say oyo?

Mad people, share excess crude oil that's generated from 90% from one region out of six region.

Abeg they can persuade to share the money but cannot persuade the govt to use that money to clean the mess caused by the exploration of oil.

This is my take, state govt should go and look inward. The more you bail them out the more they ask for more and there will be no end of bail out except of course if crude oil price increases.

Our governors are making it look like nation without crude oil cannot develop.

It's only when money is involved they comes together to discuss how to loot this country dry, most of them their are the greedy ones.
Form regional government and get the heavy pressure out of the fg, that's the only way out.

Nigerians should march on Aso Rock and support the President. The governors must not be allowed to have their way. They will waste and embezzle the money, leaving nothing to show for it. Where is OCCUPYNASS, where is Oby Ezekwesili, where is Falana, where is OCCUPYNIGERIA, where is NLC, where is TUC. If the President, concedes to the governors demands, then we are finished

Update:Buhari ‘concerned’ about states’ inability to
pay salaries despite bailout
President Muhammadu Buhari said Thursday in
Abuja that it was a matter of great concern to
him that nearly two-thirds of states of the
federation are still having difficulties with salary
payments despite the bail-out funds provided to
them by the federal government.
Speaking at a meeting with members of the
Nigeria Governors Forum at the Presidential Villa,
Mr. Buhari said he was very disturbed by the
hardship which state government workers across
the country and their families were facing due to
the non-payment of salaries.
To ameliorate the hardship being faced by
affected workers, the president said the federal
government would strive to make more funds
available to the states by expediting action on
refunds due to them for the maintenance of
federal roads and other expenses incurred on
behalf of the federal government.
Mr. Buhari also said he would establish an inter-
ministerial committee to study a Fiscal
Restructuring Plan for the federation which was
presented to him by the governors.
The president said the committee would review
the plan to improve the finances of state
governments and make recommendations on
how proposals in the plan should be dealt with by
the Presidency, the Federal Executive Council and
the National Assembly through legislation.
Mr. Buhari therefore urged the governors to
understand that while he was ready to do all
within his powers to help the states overcome
their current financial challenges, the federal
government also has funding problems of its own
to contend with.
“You all know the problems we have found
ourselves in. You have to bear with us,” he told
the governors.
Also speaking, Governors Abdulaziz Yari and Nasir
El-Rufai of Zamfara and Kaduna States
respectively, who chaired the committee that
worked on the Fiscal Restructuring Plan, asked
the federal government to do more to help the
states financially.

Buhari may be clueless, unintelligent, old school and all but a weakling. And he will share the money because there is hunger in the land and its affecting his popularity.
