Kano State Government Augments Its Receipt From Federation Account by ACKCITY: 3:06pm On Apr 29, 2016
Kano State Government now augment its receipt from Federation Account with N1.3 billion monthly to pay Workers salaries.

This was revealed by the state Deputy Governor Prof Hafiz Abubakar while declaring open Nigeria Book fair held at North West University.

He said Out of the amount N700m is being added to Local Government receipt and N600M to State government receipt in order to meet salary obligation.


He further revealed that Kano State Federation receipt last month was 46% of April, 2015 state receipt.

Prof Hafiz Abubakar noted that despite the economic depression, Kano State is not only paying salary but equally undertaking developmental projects.

He said Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is exploring various avenues for generating revenue and investments to the state in order to meet yearnings and aspirations of the people.

In this regards, he said, government is partnering International donor agencies and accessing various national intervention programmes as well as wooing investors to the state.
