Although the issue of marauding Fulani herdsmen killing and maiming farmers in their stride, destroying unsuspecting communities is not new, the rate at which these pillaging herdsmen have taken to their fiendish desire for blood is indeed alarming.
Whole villages and communities in Benue State especially in Agatu Local Government Area have been plundered by these herdsmen brandishing assault rifles, machine guns, machetes and all, killing and maiming, torching homes, women and children not spared. Interestingly, they have become strangely emboldened, their escapades taking wider dimensions as they move further south, attacking communities in Enugu and even Delta States with reckless abandon.
