Please brothers and sisters in the Lord, why is it that people snap their fingers when praying some specific prayer points such as.....binding/casting, praying against enemies etc. Does the snapping of the fingers make the prayers more effective or is it just out of habit?

some do it because of the "intensity/burden" of the prayer and not any "special" reasons.
don't know about everyone though.

Well, the believe is that a violent prayer tends to carry more weight when physical exertions like snapping of fingers and speaking in tongue are applied.
