Its no longer enough to tell Nigerians that you can solve the problem, you have to tell us specifics about how you plan to do to solve it. Where will you get the money, will you increases taxes, utility tariffs etc? or Will you borrow money? And what is your sense of judgement, achievements, character and records in previous positions you've held?

For instance, the general election in the US is going to be interesting. A certain contestant promised to reduce America's debts but the voters demanded specifics, they wanna know if that will affect jobs and social security. The voter wants to know how your government will affect his/her life directly or indirectly. Isn't this what democracy is all about?

Nigeria can no longer afford to celebrate mediocrity.

We havent gotten to that stage, Nigerians not very enlightened in politics as much as we like to believe
The only thing you need to do to win election in nigeria is

-Be popular
-Make an outrageous list of promises you can't keep. Example ($1 = #1, constant electricity) you know? The usual stuff
-Have absolutely no plans on how to tackle the current economic situation on ground
-Bribe the essential Godfathers
-Get a good graphic designer (for your posters wink )

And your good to go.
