Hours ago the internet was awashed with news of Igbos attack on Hausa-Fulani in aba the commercial capital of Abia State. The cause of the attack should not be the point of discussion now but how to stop any form of reprisal attack and how to bring the sitauation to order.

The leaders of the Igbos should release a quick statement condemining the attack as an act of mischief makers and misguded youths and urge our brothers in the North not to retaliate this nonsense as no right thinking Igbo man will attack his fellow Fulani brother or anyone else from other region. They should go ahead to assure the people that normacy has returned to the city and that the people can go about their business as usual.

On behalf of well meaning Igbos, i urge our Northern brothers to see this as misunderstanding between brothers and would be settled immediately. Repriesal attack will not solve the Problem.

That is a diplomatic statement. You churn the plausible denials out immediately you hear the news to calm some nerves, you keep on denying until at least 5 national dallies, 20 blogs and 1 international media outfit confirms it then you issue an apology and threaten to deal with the culprits.
Everybody will be waiting for the punishment until the dusts settles and it becomes business as usual.
We are really bleeped in this our lawless country.

Is it that difficult for you to mind your business and allow this country to implode so everyone can be free at once..

Or are you enjoying this hell hole called Nigeria..

Our leaders deceiving us for their own selfish ends and some of us singing Hallelujah in the Mosque..

If you are truly Igbo then, why saying "what the Igbos should do" you should have said, "what we must do" stop deceiving yourself and come out clean. ..

You have got to be stupid to make this sort of statement. A young IGBO was killed in Aba by a Hausa man and you are telling Igbos to beg northerners on top of that? Just so that they want take revenge and kill Igbos up north? We're you deprived of Oxygen at birth? You think northerners have needed any reason to kill Igbos up in the north before now? Instead of you to admit that since killings begets killings, let us all go our different ways so as to stop killing each other, you came up with this nonsense?!

Release a statement even if the attack is still ongoing. Deny the act and do how Hausa used to do.

Most of you up there against my post are either plain silly or kids who never witnessed the war nor saw pictures of it. For the records i don't come here to engage in tribal madness as it meaningless, what i have propposed is a way to restore peace and order then investigations can begin. If theres reprisal attack, many of our people will die and at the end nothing might come out of it. Many of you don't stay in the north some of u are in Lagos and is boasting of what you cant lead.

What ever happens today, the west nd Yorubas will support the North so this war song some of you kids preach are just a show of juvenile deliquency and lack of knowledge of the pains of it.

Some of you feel when there is problem or massive killings, your immaginative country that will also be manned by current irresponsible leaders will come to existence. Think twice. Even politics is palyed in UN.

We don't need war we need peace; re-orientation and good governance.

Have you wondered, how many prominent Igbos are in support of the imaginary country some of you think will come to existence?

Some of u see tribalism as ur occupation so you spend all day here constituting nuissance and enriching Seun. Think.

igbo's are not cowards, op take note. The gentleness of a tiger should not be taken for cowardice. in every relationship one person holds it, but the day the one that holds the relationship is taken for a fool, then to hell with the relationship.

I am foreseeing the rise and fall of nigeria.

Why most people commenting are animals is because they equate an ethnic group to individual crime. Will it make sense if because a thief of Igbo origin stole in Kano that all Igbos should be treated as thief or because a reckless driver of Yoruba origin ran over a pedestrian in Port Harcourt then all Yorubas must be killed for driving recklessly? Igbos have been killing, robbing and kidnapping their fellow Igbis in Aba for almost a decade but because the person involved is from a different ethnic group therefore all members of his ethnic group are guilty.

The seed you sow you shall one day reap.

I am very very sure, that it is Igboland (SE) that will fall and not Nigeria. Try and declare war, let the north and their Yoruba allies invade ur landlocked south east from all side again, like in 1967, then u will understand the meaning of FALL.

Lol, if Fulanis and Hausas are brothers to Ndiigbo, then Ndiigbo in the North need not to worry about attack from Northerners, as long as they don't kill northerners in the North, they should expect brotherly treatment from Fulanis and Hausas.

But even you don't believe your own lies, which is the exact reason you are puting out this your cowardly "let me live on my knees instead of dying on my feet" stand. wink

Lol! I guess Asaba that suffered genocide for being igbos are not part of this your Igboland= SE rambling.

Without USSR and Britain support the Nigerians got, the war would have had a different coloration.
Would Nigeria be able to secure the unrestricted support of those two nations should Biafran part two happen? Time will tell.
