Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Onwuka and
many others who believe in self
determination have been languishing in
prison for several months. They are not
members of Boko Haram. They are not
members of Fulani militia and did not
kill anybody or burnt down any village.
They are simply Nigerian who are fed up
of the domination of Nigeria by those
with Islamic and ethnic agenda.
Nnamdi Kanu and many others detained
without trial are not Fulani herdsmen.
Nnamdi Kanu is not a Jihadist. Bartister
Onwuka is not a terrorist. However, they
are charged with treason and in prison
waiting for the government to complete
the fabrication of cases against them to
convict them for treason and execute
them, while northern elites defend
Fulani herdsmen who are committing
crimes against humanity all over
Nigeria.
I guess Jonathan had an Islamic agenda because it's under him that Onwuka of BZM was arrested for wanting to take over a radio station in Enugu?

Federal Ministry Of Agriculture-29 billion while Federal Ministry of Information, Propaganda and Masquerade Research- 39 billion. It shows clearly the direction we're heading in this country
seek knowledge brother, that is recurrent expenditures which include salary and overheads of the ministry. information have national orientation agency, frcn, bon, nta, nbc, nan and most of these agencies also have foreign correspondents. while ministry of agriculture have just few agencies under it.

You should do more knowledge seeking. The Ministry of Agriculture also has has tons of agencies under it so sorry your recurrent expenditure excuse doesn't cut it.

Please take a closer look at this budget and tell me where the change is?
How on earth can Information and culture (39billion) get higher allocation than Agriculture (29billion)!
Capital expenditure is 30% unlike before were it was 10%. what do you call that?

Im happy with the allocation for Health,Education.
However how Youth development will be gulping twice the allocation Power,Housing and Works beats my imagination.

Nevertheless the budget is a hopeful one.

[quote author=willywasco post=45371053]Squeal to the signing of the 2016 budget into law by President Buhari on Friday. Nigerian Pilot take a look at how the budget will be allocated to different ministries and sectors of the economy.

Thanks for this information. You made the first attempt in tackling corruption in Nigeria. When you want to control something, you must first know what that thing is. You must also know how, who, when and what has been taken. Nigerians have a duty to monitor how the looters steal sorry spend these monies. We shouldn't allow them to steal everything before we are now calling on EFCC, ICPC, POLICE, JUDICIARY , EXECUTIVE, LEGISLATORS to find and recover the loots. There is no perfect system in the world, that is why new methods are developed from time to time to address the inadequacies inherent in the current system. However, for Nigeria, it seems there are no systems or processes at all. Every time I here the news that a body, say EFCC has detected that one person stole some billions of Naira, I don't jubilate. It only points to the fact that our institution are too weak to support our processes. We should be asking ourselves why is it possible for this to happen and what are we going to do to prevent a re-occurrence . Unfortunately, we get carried away with the euphoria of such discovery instead. I sincerely believe if just 20% of this budget is used for the purpose it is meant for according to the budget, this country will have a real change.

So the big challenge is how to ensure this 6 trillion naira does not just disappear without us having any values. Nigerians should please rise up and monitor this budget and report the slightest infraction as fast as possible. I don't personally trust any polithiefians be it APC, PDP or any other party. The only reason why we are where we are today is that we willingly mortgage our sovereignty to these people even when it is very glaring that they will never cater for our interest and that of our country. Remember we never elected these people, most times, they coarse, force and intimidate us to get into office as such we do not have powers of recall. We should not just watch and pray, we should watch and act.

A budget that still appropriates 115billion for a handful
And 5 billion Naira for youths employment generation
After failed promises and incessant delay
Is a slap on the face

It's unfortunate that Buhari only assign 2 billion for Ministry of Niger Delta and assign 45 billion to Secretary to the Federation.

I didn't fail to understand anything. Instead,You failed to understand that Nigerians will reap the benefits in the short term if it's government invests in agriculture while tourism only has long term gains. And this government has just four years to make their mark
