Yes, fine speech. Intuitive and futuristic - even voyeuristically, accurate. But to me, a big stick wielded can send a decisive message to discourage troublemakers... I can't explain why a group would want a definitively pliable buffoon like Jonathan to have carried on running Nigeria because they perceive the oil that flows beneath our ground belonged to them. Jonathan was from an oil-producing area. Fine. So beginning from Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa, if every president Nigeria have had had shared out our collective wealth the way Jonathan directed his 'Man Fridays' to do because of his personal political ambition, what would have happened to our nation?

Whether or not his government was made ungovernable, what did he do with governable part.
What about rising to the occasion?
He was dispatched because of his cluelessness and corruption.
Leaders are made or confirmed when the going gets tough.
Jonathan had it easy with all the revenues flowing into the purse, an healthy economy and an insurgency at its infancy.
What did he do?
He messed everything up.

We all know that Nigeria as it is run today cannot be devoid of violence and bickering. You don't need to be a prophet or rocket science to know that.

Until we run total fiscal Federalism, development will keep eluding us. Let every state generate their revenue, spend the money and pay subventions to the FG. Any state that is not self-sustaining can merge with others.

You can't take money from the neglected and down-trodden people of Niger-delta to go and 'purchase' grazing route for Fulani normads or to create North East Development commission, when you have neglected the geese that lays the golden egg.
