Since the turn of the year,Nigeria has gone from "relative" returning peace to semi-chaotic prehistoric clime. As Boko-Haram activities subsided (Following a fabricated surrender of Shekau who died about 2 or more times during his jihadist campaign) Nigerians were still chewing on this as the secessionists took centre-stage. Initially it was either a separate country or an Igbo president but following some meetings (during which some "assurances" were made by a certain Asari) the secessionists recanted and ditched the idea of an Igbo president-It was too ethnic-oriented a desire and also too temporary a solution. The protests started and the shootings/murders followed swiftly. Nigeria was playing dangerously close to the pit of crises but she escaped. The protesters have eased up,they now seek legal recourse. They hope to snare the president at the ICC.

Unfortunately,the returning negative peace is short-lived. The Fulani herdsmen feel Nigerians don't talk about them enough. They launch a military-styled onslaught on the people of Agatu. Hundreds die. The governor does close to nothing,The army-The almighty Nigerian army does nothing. The under-equipped undertrained police talk a bit,then do nothing. The president intensifies his travelling. Today,Agatu people are IDPs in their home-state,living below human standards. The Fulani herdsmen may have felt "super" or even satisfied as they strut about the communities-We are not certain their state of mind after a massacre of such a magnitude. Nigeria is their "estate" afterall. Little time passes and a similar though smaller attack is launched on the community of Nimbo. There's intelligence of an impending attack but suspiciously the security agencies decide to go "hiking" just hours before the attack. The army does nothing,A CP is sacked and the governor asks Enugu people to "fast and pray" while he goes to eat at the presidential mama-put and take selfies with the president.

While some are vocal in restating their tiredness of being Nigerians some others wait for a dissolution so they can grab their republic as they can't fight for it. Legally or otherwise. NDA,I mean the new NDA,not Nigeria Defence Academy have brought their own bucket of problems,a kind of pseudo-seccessionist agenda. They are looking to force the government into discussing a possible breakup through crippling the economy-the government's source of looting,sorry,money. Though they may be ready to settle for lesser "packages". The truth is that many citizens feel they have been short-changed by Nigeria and are dragging Nigeria to Her knees. The tag "Nigerian" is becoming loathsome to many hence they're harboring dreams of a new "tag" under new entities;some of which have funny sounding names. The new NDA have resorted to blowing up anything that is bigger than a household pipe,to the detriment of their environment,if only to spite the government. Honestly I don't blame them. We all have our unique ways of expressing displeasure. While some grumble and murmur in fear while instigating one against the other,some others file cases and dare the odds,while others yet,simply burn down their house. Happy Sunday.
