PMB should please mow down any lunatic protesting the removal of fuel subsidy. Haven't we suffered fuel scarcity enough? Nonsense! |

Mynd44: Is that all you can say? So it was wrong for GEJ to remove petrol subsidy & right for Buhari to do same. I refuse to believe that my great Yoruba brothers are hypocrites, i will not. 15 Likes 1 Share |

989900: At this point, government should strongly consider devaluing the naira to bridge the gap between the official exchange rate and the parallel market rate. That's the only way to keep down the price of petrol since price/litre will now be a function of the parallel market exchange rate. Government should also immediately increase the minimum wage to at least N30k. Asking workers who earn N18k monthly to cope with the impact of over 70% increment in pump price is unjust, insensitive and criminal. 5 Likes |

Mynd44: Mr man, forget about what the govt would have saved. Rather, think about the many private refineries that would have sprung up and the competition that would have ensued between the downstream operators that would have eventually forced the pump price down just as it is happening in the telecoms sector. What of the several thousand jobs that would have been created directly and indirectly? GEJ deserves an unreserved apology from organised labour and all those who withstood him in 2012. 10 Likes |

luvinhubby:Stop trying to be funny. I had reservations about the last government which i dont have about this one. If you have reservations about this subsidy removal, you know where Ojota is. The last one was fun, you can converne another one and have fun too. Life aint so hard. If the past administration had built new refineries or fixed the ones we have, will we be here right now? What did they do with the money saved from the partial removal of subsidy? Ojota even looks more beautiful now although I doubt Ambode will be disposed to renting it out sha 1 Like |

franchizy: It's very difficult not to abuse people on NL because of people like you. You should have asked yourself this simple question before rushing here to comment. Since fuel according to you is $80/ litre in the USA (which is a lie anyway), can 80 naira buy you what 80 dollars would buy since you want to compare the currencies at par?? If them use the Z word for una now, una go dey vex. Mind you I've always been against subsidy but for Buhari/APC to remove it after all the trash he spewed before and after elections, shows the biggest height of hypocrisy!! 11 Likes 1 Share |

Mynd44: People like you are the real problem we have in our country. You stand for nothing. Wherever the wind blows, you go even when it could harm you. You condemned GEJ for trying to remove subsidy when it was the best time and see nothing wrong in this administration's action to remove same subsidy at this very difficult and trying time?
