I NEVER KNEW I never that I will be in a Nigeria where Nigerians will accept permanent fuel scarcity. I never knew that Bayelsa State with 13% derivation could owe 5months salaries. I never knew Oshiomole can be remotely and allegedly be associated with electoral violence. I never knew that Mimiko the Iroko will build hospitals and owe the workers salaries. I never knew that Fulani herdsmen will slaughter fellow Nigerians without arrest, detention or arraignment. I never knew that politicians could be paying their own salaries and yet owe workers. I never knew that 'progressives' could be in power without implementing fiscal federalism, electoral reforms and state police. I never knew many of the activists keeping quiet now could do so with this level of suffering in the land! I never knew that we would return so soon to a catch-22 situation. I never knew.. 1 Like |
