Deregulation entails the end of price regime.
You can't say you have deregulated while
fixing price at the same time. Removal of
subsidy means that market forces, and not
government, determines the price.
At the current oil price in the world market,
the pump price for fuel, if left for market
forces, can not be more than 80 Naira. The
crooks in government know this, that is why
they are still fixing price.
The truth is that Nigerians are not just
paying for the price of the fuel they
consume. They are now also paying tax for
consuming fuel.
145 Naira per litre! How did they arrive at
that amount? How much is the landing cost?

Op what stops the association of pms sellers from hiking the price to 180 ?
The forces of demand and supply wont apply here cos the price is as a result of concensus

FACT CHECK: This is the biggest increase of fuel price by any government in the history of Nigeria. From N 87 to N145 means that we have a N58 increment. Jonathan only proposed a N20 Naira increase and the Change chanters set the country on fire. I think that Wole Soyinka, Tunde Bakare, Femi Falana and other hypocrites who cried about Jonathan's N20 increase, but are now silent, should all bury their heads in shame.
