A plan to speed up international efforts on asset recovery has been announced by the UK Prime Minister David Cameron at the Anti-Corruption Summit held at Lancaster House, London.

The Global Forum for Asset Recovery will bring together governments and law enforcement agencies to discuss returning assets to Nigeria, Ukraine, Sri Lanka and Tunisia.

Foreign firms that own property in the UK must also declare their assets publicly in a bid to stamp out money-laundering, the government says.
The meeting will be held in the US next year, co-hosted with the UK, and supported by the UN and the World Bank.

Mr Cameron’s plans for a register of foreign companies owning UK property would include those who already owned property in the UK as well as those seeking to buy.

Downing Street said the register would mean “corrupt individuals and countries will no longer be able to move, launder and hide illicit funds through London’s property market, and will not benefit from our public funds”.

It said foreign companies owned about 100,000 properties in England and Wales and that more than 44,000 of these were in London.

David Cameron said cracking down on corruption was needed to “tackle extremism,” adding that people in developing countries wanted justice as much as they wanted clean water and health care. John Kerry, US secretary of State, agreed that corruption fed drug and human trafficking as well as terrorism.

Na today? Forget all the jamboree. One of thr biggest way the british makes money is by hiding stolen assets from nigeria, that's why the big for nothing useless crown colony must continue to exist. Even buhari's daughter flew British for 5 million naira. Only zombies can't see clearly.
Disintegrate the country and the british will lose a major source of usual income from their royal niger company.

"It said foreign companies owned about 100,000 properties in England and Wales and that more than 44,000 of these were in London"

They knew some were ill gotten wealth, and yet received it. receiving stolen property is also an offense, and akin to corruption.

UK To Hasten Assets Recovery For Nigeria

''The meeting will be held in the US next year, co-hosted with the UK, and supported by the UN and the World Bank.''

They are not serious and can no longer fool us. Britain is know as accomplice and safe haven for stolen funds and assets from around the world. They are not in a hurry to help Nigeria recover stolen loots in their possession.

They should also name and shame owners of the stolen money laundered that way it will discourage stooges and impersonators of the actual looters from laundering money for them into their accounts

Anyway all this is because Nigerians hate each other. IF you see an Hausa man as your brother or an igbo woman as your sister irrespective of where you come from you won't launder money because you're destroying the future of your brother and sister including their generations and moreover whatever happens to you brother or sister will affect you

Now look there's fuel scarcity because some groups of people only think of their immediate family and their needs now we're collectively suffering from it.even They themselves have lost their peace Because when the home is on fire the parents cannot rest in the same way when the domestic issues of a country has gotten to its limits and the economy is crumbling the leaders themselves will know no rest because They have to deal with self created enemies from within (bokoharam) and external enemies who profit from Nigeria's situation

This is Super Story. Great Britain will never implement this fully, property sale is one of its money making machines. Just one 5 bedroom flat in a choice location in the UK will buy 10 houses in banana island Lagos.
