haha, why is bokoharam still attacking people? even after we hear that army has killed 500 bokoharam member today, 300 bokoharam member tomorow? And aside this, during Obasanjos tenure, the millitants kidnaps foreign oil workers and exchange them for ransome. its even the british, american, italian embassy that usually come to pay the ransome.

Your post shows you really have no idea of what Guerilla warfare is.

America and NATO has been bombarding Alqaeda, Taliban etc yet they still attack. IS IS came up in the midst of these fightings. You can never completely defeat terrorists, but ypu can decapitate them and limit their attacks to intermittent.

Boko haram has been dealt a very major blow. Can you compare them now to how they were under GEJ?

Yes under obk, they were kidnapping, to show they are criminals, looking for money and not fighting for anyone.

They weren't attack pipelines as they're doing now

they weren't attacking pipelines? Did I hear you say that? Why did Yaradua gave them amnesty? Oil export was averaging 1.6 million barrels during obasanjos tenure until yaradua gave them amnesty and the production went back to 2.6 million barrels. In fact the militancy of now is better because they don't kill soldiers and kidnapp foreign oil workers for ransome. they are only attacking pipelines. You need to see the arms they surrendered to the federal government, arms that so many soldiers have not seen before. The main problem here is, those guys use jazz, when soldiers shoot them, it won't affect them, but when they shoot soldiers, they will die. most of our soldiers are not familiar with their terrain because they're mostly from the southwest and north and most don't even know how to swim unlike the ijaw militants that can stay under water for hours. Also, soldiers can't line up along pipelines and start watching it all day and night, pipelines that passe under water and through swamps stretching hundreds of kilometers. Its just a complicated matter that force cannot just solve it.

Read it well, The headline & the article aren't "family".... They said "don't shed blood", they didn't declare ceasefire.

Don't mind the headline, they only cautioned against drawing blood first... No cease fire..

Cc Amaechi1... They don't want the wrath of Intn'l communities, hence they are claiming they don't want to spill blood, [s]but strangulating the economy of the people they are "liberating" is not killing them slowly! Yeye.[/s]

Does that truely mean that without oil we as a nation can't survive?

Nigerians are becoming very lazy.

Some states like Lagos are already taking a bold step towards diversifying their economy.
