Germany To Begin Supply Of Military Hardware To Nigeria by Nobody: 11:54am On Jun 07, 2016
The German Government on Monday confirmed that it would commence supply of military hardware to support Nigeria’s effort to address security challenges in the Northeast and Niger Delta, before the end of 2016.

The Permanent Secretary, German Foreign Office, Mr. Markus Elderer, said this in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the defence session of the Nigeria-Germany Bi-National Commission meeting in Abuja.

He said the decision to support Nigerian security forces in their counter-insurgency operations was the German government’s response to a request made by President Muhammadu Buhari at the last G-7 summit hosted by the European nation

Elderer said the equipment to be supplied to Nigeria are ground surveillance equipment, anti-mine equipment and gun boats, among others.

Did you read before the end of 2016? So you don't think the present security situation and the effect on economy needs urgent attention? Smh

It doesn't change anything.

FG will appease NDA and other miscreants for now, then properly arm and train the military for future uprisings by that time jungle don mature.
The mistake GEJ made was not to secure the ND militarily while continuing the amnesty program of Yaradua.

You cannot hold FG to ransom forever. This is a game of the long term. Boko Haram is learning that the hard way.

By the way, I can see that you support the sabotage maybe in the name of secession. Go and look at countries that have seceded in Africa.

Eritrea from Ethiopia
South Sudan from Sudan
Somaliland from Somalia
Namibia from South Africa

None of them have performed better than their old countries.

West German products can be too expensive, I hope president Michelle can allow us pay in Deutsche Mark and give us some discounts too.

The end of murderous Fulani Herdsmen has begun.

Mmmm, Germany, one of the few trustworthy Western nations out there. Good military hardware too, only downside, staunch NATO member and so likely beholden to America and their human-rights hypocrisy and sanctioning selves....

Nigeria will always remain a dumping ground for most of the western world countries & the developing countries since pmb came into power coz he prefer eating from the cramps on the floor of those countries than acquiring sophisticated war hardware like GEJ did during his regime.
pmb is a failure & GOD bless GEJ wherever he is.

Didn't Buhari say that he was looking to ensure that Nigeria would be self-sufficient in military hardware - not looking to spend FOREX on imported goods from people who could turn off the trade tap at any time for any reason?

What happened to that promise?
