I am a South western Muslim born and brought up among northerners, I can relate to your post very well.

Some of those guy you mentioned see themselves to have better culture and faith than other Muslim because simply they are hausas/fulani while some are has open minded as any southwestern or Edo Muslim.

Rxpetite...you hit the nail on the head. Our problem is not Islam, it's the North. Islam really is peaceful. I have read every part of the Koran and there is no part that proscribes what these animals did. The Hausas by their very nature are very violent people.

Friday Sermons are given in the language understood by majority of the people. That is why ur neighbour is not going to the "Yoruba" mosque because he won't understand the sermon.
