Over 50 officers of the Nigerian Army will be retired in the next few days, with the official process begun.

According to the list, ADCs to former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan are among the 58 military officers retired by the Nigerian army in its latest exercise.

They were given compulsory retirement over two allegations, according to the army: partisanship and corruption.

Ojogbane Adegbe, a colonel and former ADC to Jonathan, and Mustapha Onoiveta, former ADC to Yar’Adua, were both retired.

Nicholas Achinze, a colonel and former military assistant to Owoye Azazi, a retired general, and Sambo Dasuki, a retired colonel, was also retired.

The Army Spokesperson, Col. Usman Sani, however, said the army appealed that Nigerians “should therefore not read this out of context”, saying “the military must remain apolitical and professional at all times”.

Wow

An administration being chased by its own shadows. We are all aware of the way they planted moles with northern agenda who worked to sabotage the previous administration, and now they are afraid of same.

The government claims to be fighting corruption, but is doing worse;

When you only fight and prosecute members of a particular political party and turned blind eyes to the highly corrupt in your party is not anti-corruption, but witch hunting.

Alleged corrupt individuals who decamped to join the bandwagon are instantaneously made whole and corrupt free.

What about the corrupts the sponsored and brought this government to power? There case is thrown into oblivion

Corruption fight should be all encompassing, without favouritism, irrespective of party affiliations or idealogy. This government is doing the exact opposite.

When appointment is lopsided and skewed in favour of a particular region, in a federal state with federal character policy, that's corruption!

When the government flagrantly deceive, misinform and deny it's promises. There is an integrity issue which is synonymous with corruption

When the government turn blind eyes to injustices meted against people whose resources provide the revenue for nation state. This is not corruption, but outright wickedness

A religiously and ethnically biased government is corrupt. Shying away from nefarious activities of rampaging herdsmen and religious fanatics

A government openly makes divisive statement is far from being corrupt free.

When the government by its actions and inaction delibrately makes its economy worse, unemployment rising, exchange nose-diving, prices skyrocketing, living standards unusually poor, acute scarcity looming, power now in a state of paralysis, insecurity...tending towards chaos.

Nigerians have never been this insecure, unsafe, doubtful direction-less and dejected.

Many would pretend not to be affected the obvious untold hardship, glaring marginalization and northernization of the Nigerian state because it's our son that's in power or acting to be in power.

We are fighting corruption in "deed"

Note that stealing is corruption grin

They are sacking the military officials but are threatening banks not to sack staff due to TSA related issues.

This Govt doesnt lead by example.
