Every sensible country runs its politics on sets of ideologies. Hence we have right wing versus left wing in such countries. In my other country, USA, it is the Republicans on the right and the Democrats on the left. Even India has same, as shown in the photos below where Indian right wingers are supporting Trump from half a world away. So my question is, where are the ideologies in Nigerian politics? Do we have left and right wings in Nigerian politics? What do APC, PDP, APGA etc stand for ideologically speaking ?

Adelaide2: Nigeria is not politically advanced to have ideologies. What we have are those have power and those who jostling for it. If there are any ideologies at all, they are ethnic based. 1 Like |

zendy: Socialism is Nigeria's political ideology, because the Federal Govt OWNS the COMMANDING HEIGHTS of Nigeria's Economy, such as Land, ie all mineral resources; Labour, Govt is the highest employer; & Capital, Federal Govt holds all PROFITS that accrue from Natural Resources. Socialism is from each according to Resources, NATIONAL CAKE, & to each according to Needs, the Quota System & Revenues Allocation, which engenders Consumerism, & SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION, & kills any Motivation for Creativity & Industrialization. 1 Like |

our political parties are intrest groups with no ideaology characterize by premodial proclivity(regional instinct). the truth is that any nation that has not overcome this kind of shit can never attain a position for global power play. |

America left wing/right wing? More like centrist/ right/ far right. E.g Nixon and Eisenhower ( old school) make Obama look like a right winger. Nigeria is runs a criminal form of neo-conservatism( Far right). Countries with leftwing / centrist/right wing politics are Canada,Sweden, Denmark,Finland etc |
