Just a slight correction: He was elected to the US Senate, not the Illinois State senate, in 2004. And he was sworn-in as a US Senator in 2005.

in Nigeria our presidents grow fatter , younger and fresher while they last in office. this is because they care less about their the problems of the country. if obj was to rule American straight from prison as he did in 1999 he wouldn't have survived the pressure in governance. the reverse was the case when he was elected president of Nigeria in 1999.. he became fresher and robust.
