Why did you choose to use your eyes for smelling instead of seeing?

For Most Reasonable Nigerians, it's so stupid and counter productive, as well as enemical to the corporate existence of this highly diversified country {Nigeria] for a govt to perpetually witch-hunt its opposition all in the name of fighting corruption. Nomatter how much Buhari tries, he and his party can never succeed in bankrupting the opposition in order to make them financially incapable to contest future elections.

How much did the likes of Okorocha, Amaechi, Fashola, etc, spend out of Public funds to campagn for Buhari? Was that even up to half of this quoted amount. Instead of moving the country forward, the enemies of this country are busy sowing seeds of discord and division all in the name of fighting corruption. We would like to see one true APC public officer being prosecuted by the EFCC.

We should not fail to realize that there is always a limit to which everything under the sun would accelerate to and decelerate. When a great man is pushed to the wall, he may not be able to move again and would have no other choice than to turn and face the pusher squarely.

My advice: If Buhari wants to effectively fight corruption, then he should start from himself and remove all manner of corruption from himself.

Corruption is any dishonest action that destroys people's trust.
corruption

"a record of a word's corruption"
synonyms: alteration, falsification, doctoring, manipulation, manipulating, fudging, adulteration, debasement, degradation, abuse, subversion, misrepresentation, misapplication; rarevitiation
"these figures have been subject to corruption"

I have to post these dictionary definitions of corruption for all to see.
When a leader uses his position to deviate from what is expected of him by law - That is Corruption, and Buhari is guilty of this.

Being selective in fight against corruption is also Corruption on its own.
Exonerating and Working with highly corrupt party members while fighting the opposition on the same issue is the greatest hight of Corruption.
False declaration of Certificates and forgery is corruption and Buhari should be prosecuted for this.

So in essence, what anybody that means well for this country should suscribe to is,

"Going forward, let it be annouced that

1) Any form of corruption must be investigated and the culprit prosecuted.

2) The fight against corruption in the past should be effected, meaning, Buhari and over 90% of his cabinet should resign and be prosecuted for corruption, as well as members of the opposition parties found corrupt.

Even money meant to fight Boko Haram that was wrongly spent should be properly investigated and the culprits prosecuted. We believe that those who decided to share this money, did so in order to fail so that GEJ would be regarded as having failed and as well, they must have made the 'Country Ungovernable for him'. These people must also be prosecuted, but only when it is made clear that everyone that commits any form of corruption must be prosecuted nomatter his/her position or party affiliation.

Illitrate zombies would never see the wisdom in this post - Go ahead and abuse it and help your extremely polarised govt to gradually disintegrate this country. Over to you and I wish you all that you wish a just cause.

NIGERIA'S anti-graft commission, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday grilled the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu Sheriff, for about seven and a half hours over the N40 million campaign fund he received for former President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid.

Sheriff, as reported on Wednesday, was invited by the EFCC to appear before its operatives at its Maiduguri, Borno State office.

He was said to have arrived at the office at about 10am.

He was only released on administrative bail at about 5:30pm after he agreed to refund the N40 million he was given for the election.

The money was part of the $115 million released by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alison-Madueke, through Fidelity Bank Plc, to major actors in the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission for the reelection bid of Jonathan.

The money was said to have been converted to Naira by the now sacked Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo.

It came to about N23.3 billion at the time.
The money was given to Sheriff by Mohammed Wakil, who received N450 million on behalf of the PDP in Borno State.

A statement by the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the development.

Uwujaren said in the statement: “A former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Shariff, was grilled by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Maiduguri zonal office on Wednesday for his involvement in sharing the sum of N40m.

“Investigation is ongoing as Shariff is answering questions in the EFCC office at the time of writing this report.”

There shld be a law to make people pay over 5 times of whatever they stole 4rm public funds nd nt the exact amount.
What abt interest on that money?

The man did not steal this particular money. He only received stolen money (his share) for no apparent reason claiming it is for party campaign.

The last time i checked Okorocha, Amaechi and Fashola were not Federal officers pre-2015. They were all public office holders in their states and we are still expecting them to be probed by THEIR States.

Sheriff and co are super thieves who stole Nigeria's money. Again i repeat, our federal purse.

its very simple...they call it plea bargaining... cheesy

and it doesnt mean they will still not be charged in the future depending on their level of involvement in the crime, but lesser charges will be brought against them... cool
